Business Review and Gap Analysis
A Gap Analysis approach often proves an invaluable tool in determining business maturity and readiness for ISO 9001 certification. ISO Global’s unique methodology includes a review of your current business processes and identification of specific gaps against the ISO 9001 Standard.
Importantly, prior to undertaking this analysis, our consultants will familiarise themselves with your organisational priorities, objectives and expectations so that the analysis proves beneficial and aligns with an organisations’ goals for the implementation of the Quality Management System.
Our consultants know the ins and outs of the standard, how to best assess your business practices, and the best way to implement the system in your business.
During the review session your ISO Global consultant will:
- Map your business processes
- Assess the readiness of your business for ISO 9001 certification
- Create a Development Plan based on your business needs
You will receive:
- A plan to manage the development and implementation of an ISO 9001 Quality Management System in your business
- Increased awareness of the requirements of the ISO 9001 Standard within your team.
ISO 9001 System Development
Your Quality Management System will be developed by an experienced consultant who has received training in our methodology, is an experienced Quality Auditor and is backed up by a team of 6 other highly experienced consultants.
We develop your system based on the results of the Review & Gap analysis and your existing documentation, if any. Your Quality Management System will include; a quality system manual, procedures and related documentation. You will be able to review the system and provide us with feedback. If necessary we will change the system based on your feedback.
System Implementation
Your consultant will provide you with clear guidance on how to implement the system in the business. We will help you understand the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard and its applicability and alignment with your organisation.
Internal Audit
Before certification, an internal audit of the system is required. An internal audit is a process of critical review of the business’ processes and it’s Quality Management System. Our consultant will conduct the internal audit for you.
The Internal Audit ensures that you will be ready for certification, that the system is working as it should and that the implementation has been successful.
Certification Audit
We will help you to select a certification body appropriate to your needs and liaise with them regarding the timing of the certification audit to ensure that you are prepared and that your timescales are met.
External recognition of your achievement, including an independent and objective assessment of the management system against the requirements of the standard, is a vital ingredient in demonstrating to your internal and external stakeholders that there is a robust management system in place.
The certification team will include experts who are aligned to your business requirements. Your consultant will be available, generally by phone, on the day of the certification audit, though if you prefer they can be present at the audit.
Certification Audits are undertaken in a three-year cycle including an initial certification audit and generally annual surveillance audits to verify that the integrity and effective operation of the system is maintained.
