Developing an ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
ISO Global’s unique methodology includes 5 steps to certify your business to ISO 14001 Environmental Management:
- Environmental Review
- ISO 14001 System Development
- System Implementation
- Internal Audit
- Certification Audit
Before we start we will provide you with background information about ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
During the review your consultant will:
- Explain the requirements of the Environmental Management Standard
- Work with you to identify Environmental Aspects of the organisation’s activities, and products and services which the organisation can influence.
- Demonstrate the use of a Risk Assessment Model to prioritise the identified impacts in terms of significance.
- Work with you to establish Environmental objectives and targets.
You will receive:
- A Development Plan outlining our recommendations, and the policies and procedures required for your system.
ISO 14001 System Development
Your Environmental Management System including operational procedures to address those aspects assessed as having environmental impacts of high significance will be developed by an experienced ISO Global consultant. All our consultants have received training in our methodology and are backed up by a team of 6 other highly experienced consultants.
You will be able to review the system and provide us with feedback. If necessary we will change the system based on your feedback.
Your consultant will provide you with clear guidance on how to implement the system in the business. We will help you understand the requirements of the ISO 14001 standard and its applicability and alignment with your organisation.
We provide assistance with any issue, query or request you may have to assist you with implementing the system in your business.
Before certification, an internal audit of the system is required. The Internal Audit will be conducted by an ISO Global consultant to ensure the successful implementation of the Environmental Management System and that you are ready for certification.
A detailed audit report and Internal Audit / System Maintenance schedule will be provided
We will help you to select a certification body appropriate to your needs and liaise with them regarding the timing of the certification audit to ensure that you are prepared and that your timescales are met.
The Environmental Management System will be certified for conformance with ISO 14001 by a third-party certifying body. Your ISO Global consultant will be available, generally by phone, during Stage 1 of the certification audit.
What our Clients Say
Many of our clients were involved with ISO, our decision to choose ISO Global was based on their quality product which was fully accredited. ISO Global were very thorough and always open to assisting and supporting our needs.
“From the outset, ISO Global was pragmatic in supporting Approach Solutions through the implementation of our Quality Management System. This pragmatic approach was very welcome given the small size of our startup company. We were able to implement a sustainable system that effectively supports the operational processes and business objectives of the company. As a startup, I believe we’ve implemented much more than an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system, but rather the foundation of a business management system built on continuous improvement and customer focus as the underlying core. ISO Global set the right expectations upfront and delivered on those expectations. Through every stage of initial consultation, development, implementation and audit, ISO Global provided excellent support leading to a successful system implementation and certification journey.”
